Hello! My name is Colleen. I just want to tell you a little bit about me so that you know why I have opinions on educational baby toys and products. I went to school for Special Education. I taught in a self-contained classroom for grades 3 – 5 for 2 years.   I left that job and  have been working  part time in the Early Intervention field for 4  years. I am a Developmental Interventionist where I work with children from 0 – 3 years of age, whom had various learning/language delays. Some of the children I work with had Autism and Down Syndrome.

I am also a Mom.   My eldest daughter is 2 1/2  years of age and my youngest is almost 4 months. I am having a blast at home watching them develop into a little people! Day by day they are learning from their environment and the family and friends around them.

As most of you know, there are tons and tons of toys and baby products out there for your little one to learn from. How do you choose the right ones? How do you know what things you actually need? If you are like me you do not want unnecessary toys taking over your house. (We have a small house) So, I try to be selective in the toys and baby products that we purchase. Over the years, I have experienced some lousy toys and some great ones. That is why I have developed this site. Here are the toys that I find to be educational, fun, purposeful, safe and engaging. I also have some baby products here that I recommend. I will not give you information on products and toys that I do not like. Enjoy!
