This is one of the few toys that your little one can play with early on. (safely) He will enjoy the beautiful colors and various textures on each side of the cube. You can place pictures of familiar faces on 5 of the sides of the cube. Each of the sides makes a silly sound when you press it. So, your child can learn cause and effect and learn to recognize important people in his life at the same time. The 6th side is a mirror for your little one to admire himself in. He can learn communication skills with this little mirror. Teach your baby how to make silly sounds and faces in the mirror too. I like that this toy is plush so that your little one can mouth it and you will not need to be worried about your baby banging his head on it while playing.

Sassy Baby’s First Rattle and Teether 5 Piece Gift Set Review

I like this 5 piece rattle and teether set because all of the pieces are engaging, bright, colorful, and include different textures and sounds. Rattles and teethers are important during your child’s early development. Your baby can learn how to visually track the rattle or teether as you hold it in front of her and move it back and forth. (As she grows, she will be able to hold the toy and track it herself) She can reach to grab the toys, move them from one hand to the other, mouth the toys (oral motor) and enjoy the sounds (auditory stimulation) that they make. It will be fun to watch your child realize that she is the one who is making the sounds by shaking the rattle. (cause and effect) My daughter has enjoyed these Sassy teethers and rattles since she was weeks old and still loves to play with them. Oh, she has been teething and the butterfly teether has been soothing her little gums. You can just stick the teether in the freezer for a bit and your child can enjoy the ice cold treat on her little gums.

Sassy Me in the Mirror Review

This is great for your baby’s crib. The colors will surely get his attention. (visual stimulation) There is a ball that your baby can spin, the yellow sun which he can push to hear it squeak (cause and effect), a purple pulley toy and a bird. There are some colorful fabrics around the edges of the frame for your child to pull on (or chew for oral motor). The mirror can attach to the crib and you can even angle it down or up. My daughter loves to sit in her crib and stare at herself while playing with the mirror. We also easily detach the mirror from the crib and place it in front of her for belly time. I like that it is soft, so that if your little one is still working on sitting and falls forward, he will not hurt himself.

I used this mirror a lot while working in the early intervention field. I would use it to work on imitation skills and language development. You can sit with your child on the floor and look into the mirror with him. You can make silly sounds and funny faces and he will love it. He can work on imitating you or you can imitate him! As you can see, it is a great toy that can be used for many purposes and can be used for a long time.
